Candidates are required to undergo 3 to 5 hours of teaching a day. The programs include sections aimed at helping applicable candidates earn their GED, as well as, learning music and performing arts related trades (sound/studio engineering, video editing, marketing, promotions, etc.)
Those in the program are required to work a fixed number of hours every week during their enrollment. By working, they not only learn responsibility but also develop a sense of fulfillment in the ownership and completion of their tasks. Assignments may be on DreamLife’s campus or in the community under the Program’s leadership.
Because of this fundamental need for healthy relationships, the Program applies the principles of character development to building relationships first with those in DreamLife, and their authority.
We believe in developing the entire person; body, soul, and spirit. Development process involves teaching and application of what is taught through their interaction with others in the program and their leaders. There are 7 key elements for developing character: (1) Love, (2) Respect for authority, (3) Humility, (4) Discipline, (5) Integrity, (6) Honesty, and (7) Faithfulness.
The DreamLife Program is strongly rooted in faith in Jesus Christ. It applies the Bible and prayer as its primary source of rehabilitation and restoration. When people find faith, they find strength, hope, and ultimately healing.
The number one need in any person’s life is an encounter with the supernatural power and presence of God. Past participants in the DreamLife Program have been radically changed and are walking in freedom because they have had, and continue to have, encounters with God. These encounters replace the passions that had taken root in their minds and hearts before entering the Program.
Eddie James, blessed with musical gifts and talents, entered ministry at an early age. He was fueled by a burden placed on his heart to minister to the hurting and lost.
God quickly established Eddie James as a leader of music and ministry with some of his original work topping the charts. Over the years, Eddie has recorded multiple albums, collaborated with numerous artists (e.g. Helen Baylor, Mississippi Mass Choir, Mark Condon, & Karen Wheaton), and toured most of North America, Europe, and Asia. Eddie James and Eddie James Ministries has also been featured by numerous leaders and entertainment personalities on their media platforms (e.g. Bishop TD Jakes, Sid Roth, Perry Stone, Jamie & Judy Jacobs Tuttle, Glenn Walters, Tommy Barnett, Marilyn Hickey, along with 4-Him, Kirk Franklin, Plus One, Third Day, P-Diddy, Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight, Usher, and Kelly Prince — to name just a few!). Since Eddie James Ministries was birthed in 1993, Eddie has also established several choral and performing arts groups geared at inspiring a new generation of witnesses for the Gospel. Dealing with contemporary themes like drugs, violence, sex, racism, and dysfunction, hundreds of thousands of young people have been impacted by the constant message of hope.
Eddie James has also birthed several other ministries through the same vision God has given him. DreamLife Center is an addiction recovery program geared toward helping young people seeking the redemptive power of God’s love and the healing presence of the Savior. Currently operating in two states, the organization has plans to expand its footprint to bring healing to hundreds more in the coming years. Fresh Wine Records and its contemporary Fresh Wine Publishing have been the engine behind Eddie’s most recent works, including those of his group Ultimate Call, as well as, the machine creating resources for music ministries across the globe. Eddie’s vision is not only a source of valuable content but inspires and raises up other artists across the world to enter into Kingdom work. His most recent endeavor is a training institution for worship and ministry called The SHIFT MOVEMENT. Eddie is prayerfully taking what will be the first steps to an establishment where young men and women can enroll to find anointed training, as well as, the theological and practical guidance needed to prepare the next generation of powerful ministers of the Gospel.

Drug and alcohol addiction will cause changes to your loved one’s personality, decision making, behavior, and moods. Often, you’ll find that these changes begin to affect their financial health and relationships.
Signs that your loved one is in need of addiction therapy will include new behaviors that seem unhealthy or questionable. In any case, always trust your instincts. If something seems off, it may be an indication of a deeper problem.
Traveling away from home for addiction treatment can be a major factor in the success of the program. Being away from bad influences, relationships, stresses, family pressures, and other outside factors can mean the difference between success and failure of an addiction treatment program.
What’s more, being away from home allows patients to full focus on their recovery without the distractions of home-town life and worries. In any IOP or PHP treatment plan, clear focus is key to a patient’s recovery.
Each patient is different and requires different levels and extent of care. Insurance coverage is also a factor. However, usually, IOP or PHP treatment usually lasts between 14 and 30 days, with most people staying for a full month.

DreamLife and Eddie James Ministries have always had a heart for young people in bondage to addictions and sin. Our purpose is to rescue, raise up, and release young people through the power of Jesus Christ. While profit has never been, and never will be our goal, collecting funds for the operational cost of changing lives is a must. The real cost of providing housing, meals, transportation, around the clock accountability, professional staff, and a host of other operating costs is $2,500 a month per individual.
Though we are greatly blessed by the faithfulness of monthly sponsors who underwrite approximately $700 of the cost per month per person, there is still a need for $1,800 per month per person that needs filling.
The $1,800 is met via the monthly commitment of each applicant, the work program, and fundraising. DreamLife will work diligently to assist raising the balance once Applicant has determined the amount his or her support system can commit.

We often encounter addicts who prefer to pair traditional addiction treatment with spiritual guidance. We’ve developed the Dream Life Centers Christian drug treatment program for those who choose this path.
Dream Life Centers is based on the 8 Beatitudes from Matthew 5. With each beatitude, Jesus describes a person of “supreme blessedness” in God’s kingdom.
The beauty of Jesus’ teachings is that they are both eternally true and practically helpful. The poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers, and those persecuted for righteousness; these are the virtues that Jesus instills in his followers.
